University of Alabama researchers have proven that for every 10% increase in gas prices, results in more than 2% less in vehicle accident deaths!
Of course, because of high gas prices, people can not afford to drive as much and resulting in less drivers on the road. This is the obvious explanation.
But more amazing to this story, is that people have actually learned that by driving slower, conserves on gas.
The combination of this reaction, is producing success stories of lesser driving accident fatalities across the nation!
So with about 40,000 people that an average die in car accidents per year, we can expect about 1,000 people statistically that will have their lives saved per MONTH as the > $4/ gallon gas shoots higher!
According to the researchers, this could relate to nearly 12,000 lives would be saved this year moving forward, because of HIGH GAS PRICES. Imagine, there is good combating every wrong or evil (gas prices) in a story!
